Attendance: Regular attendance in this class is essential in order for each student to be successful. In the event of an absence (including field trips and TAG), it is the student's responsibility to find out the work to be made up and do it in a timely manner. You are expected to come in (before or after school) when absent to have the material you missed explained to you.

Make-Up Work: Make-ups for quizzes and tests will be arranged by appointment. This can be done before school, after school, or during homeroom (only for a Quiz). Keep the appointment once it is made.
Homework missed due to an absence is due the day after returning to school, unless several days were missed. Please check your answers to the assignment. If a student is present on the day the assignment was given, it is due upon returning to school.

Conduct: All students are expected to treat EVERYONE with RESPECT! Appropriate language is expected at all times. You are held responsible for all rules in your Student Handbook. Be on time to class and bring your materials with you. Be ready to start class when the bell rings. You are considered tardy if you are not in your assigned seat when the bell rings. You are expected to participate in class. NO SLEEPING IN CLASS! DO NOT PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN ON YOUR DESK. If you are not feeling well, please tell me, and we will take the appropriate action. NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN CLASS! Gum is fine as long as I do not see it or hear it. Do not write notes in class, pass them, or read them. They will be taken away from you and not returned.

Extra Help: I am available before and after school to help students.
If I am not in the classroom, please come to G 105, the Math Office. Knock on the door!

Parent Connect: This is a software program available on the Internet that links parents and teachers by allowing parents to access their students grades, attendance, assignments, and discipline. You will be able to periodically check grades and dates of upcoming tests. Daily grades will not be available, but an overall grade summary will be available. Please remember that it takes a few days to actually enter the grades into the system after the students take a test.

Note: In order to have a successful semester it is important to complete assignments on time. It is also important to ask questions in class if you do not understand the material. I will not know if you are confused unless you tell me! I want each one of you to do your very best and to achieve to the best of your abilities.

Let's work together and have a GREAT SEMESTER!
